Ahead of the expo, our team members share insights on their roles, expectations, and what excites them most about INTERGEO 2025.

🌍 Tom Oegema | Strategic Business Developer
INTERGEO is about building connections — what role do partnerships play in strengthening the Omnidots ecosystem?
🎙️ Partnerships are essential to our success. As a company operating in a niche market, we recognize that we can't achieve everything alone. Our partnerships are a cornerstone of our business strategy and contribute significantly to our strengths. We're genuinely grateful for our current partnerships, which enabled growth we couldn't have achieved independently.
How do you see collaboration shaping the future of environmental monitoring?
🎙️ The monitoring industry today is highly fragmented, with numerous manufacturers each operating their own proprietary data platforms and systems. This fragmentation creates significant confusion and complexity for customers who often need to navigate multiple interfaces and technologies simultaneously. To effectively address these challenges and streamline the user experience, cross-industry collaboration will become increasingly vital and necessary in the future. By working together on integration standards and shared platforms, monitoring companies can create more cohesive solutions that better serve customer needs while maintaining their individual technological strengths.
What kind of organizations are you most excited to meet this year?
🎙️ I am excited to meet all kinds of organizations at this year's event. Although trade fairs are traditionally viewed as platforms for connecting with potential new customers, INTERGEO offers much more than just that opportunity. We have developed an extensive network of existing customers who will be at the fair. This provides us with valuable face-to-face time to strengthen these relationships and discuss ongoing collaborations.
Additionally, the exhibition hall will be filled with numerous other manufacturers showcasing their latest innovations. These encounters provide excellent opportunities to exchange industry knowledge, shake hands with colleagues from across the sector, and thoroughly catch up on the latest developments and trends shaping our market. These interactions often lead to unexpected insights and potential partnership opportunities.
All in all, I'm genuinely looking forward to engaging with the full spectrum of attendees - from potential new clients interested in learning about our solutions, to our loyal existing customers with whom we've built strong relationships, as well as fellow manufacturers and industry peers who help drive innovation throughout the monitoring space.
What kind of questions do you love when people ask you at the booth?
🎙️ I love all questions related to my favorite football team! 😜 But seriously, I love it when people ask about our time-saving methods that create value for customers.
Monitoring is often viewed as just the device itself, rather than the complete solution we've built around it. While we certainly have excellent monitors, the real added value of our proposition lies in the Honeycomb platform.
I hope visitors will be curious enough to stop by our booth to discover how we can help them. Since customer processes vary widely, not every customer benefits from the same feature. That’s why we take the time to thoroughly understand how each visitor or customer approaches monitoring, so we can identify the specific areas where we can truly help improve their efficiency.
What do you think people would be surprised to learn about your work at Omnidots?
🎙️ The amount of work that we put into translating customer wishes into reality. Obviously, we want all our features to have a maximal impact on the efficiency of our customers. However, since we have customers in 43 countries, the way of working, regulations, and important aspects of monitoring vary a lot. Therefore, when thinking about new features, we have to look for the common denominators in order to find the features that give added value to all.
