Stay Informed: New Data and SMS Usage Tracking
We're excited to introduce a new feature that gives you complete visibility into your data and SMS usage. While usage limits have always been part of your subscription, there hasn't been a way for you to check your consumption until now. We believe this is vital information that you should have access to, which is why we've made this enhancement to keep you informed and ensure your monitoring operations continue smoothly and without unexpected interruptions.
Why This Matters
Continuous monitoring is critical for your projects. Until now, there was no way for you to monitor your usage, and customers weren't able to receive automatic messages about their usage. With this new feature, you can proactively manage your resources and avoid any surprises that might disrupt your monitoring activities.
What's New
You can now easily view your current data and SMS usage directly within your measuring point dashboard. This real-time visibility allows you to:
- Monitor how much data and SMS capacity you've used this month
- See how much remains available in your subscription
- Plan ahead and avoid unexpected service interruptions
Additionally, you'll now receive automatic alerts when your usage reaches important thresholds. You'll receive alerts when your data usage reaches 80% and the system predicts you'll exceed 100% based on your monthly usage pattern, or when your SMS usage reaches 80% of the fair use policy limit. These alerts are sent to users who are registered to receive SWARM administrator alerts.
Stay in Control
This transparency ensures you're always aware of your usage patterns. If you notice you're approaching your limits, you'll have time to take action, whether that means adjusting your monitoring settings or optimizing your alert configurations.
Looking Ahead
This feature is part of our commitment to providing the tools you need for uninterrupted, reliable monitoring. As we continue to enhance the platform, we're also exploring options that would give you access to additional resources when you need extra capacity. This will provide greater flexibility to scale according to your project needs.
