Meet Kim Gullion: Turning complex monitoring into practical solutions.

At Omnidots North America, I recently joined the team as Senior Account Manager, bringing nearly two decades of experience working alongside technical teams and engineering-focused clients.

My focus is straightforward: helping customers set up vibration and sound monitoring in a way that actually works in the real world.

Introducing Kim Gullion_Sales Omnidots North America

From complexity to clarity

As a Senior Account Manager, I work with contractors, monitoring firms, and engineering teams across North America and Canada. Many of these projects take place in challenging environments, from dense urban areas like New York City to remote locations in Alaska.

Regardless of the setting, the goal stays the same: Find the simplest solution that still meets project requirements.

Too often, monitoring setups become complex, time-consuming, and difficult to manage. I focus on cutting through that complexity.

“Monitoring should not feel like it’s slowing a project down. It should be easy, efficient, and give teams confidence in their data.”

A partner, not just a distributor

A good customer relationship starts with understanding how teams currently work.

Where are the bottlenecks? What is costing time or money? Where does risk still feel unclear?

From there, it becomes a collaborative process.

My approach is practical and honest. If there is no clear fit, I will say so. If there is, the focus shifts to making deployment plug-and-play, while ensuring reliable data and real-time visibility.

Solving real challenges in the field

Across the industry, I see recurring challenges:

  • Manual processes that slow teams down
  • Equipment that requires constant attention
  • Limited visibility between events
  • High costs from calibration and site visits
  • Increasing pressure from regulations and compliance

My role is to simplify.

By reducing the time spent managing equipment and improving access to real-time data, teams can respond faster and make better decisions on site.

What defines a successful project?

From my perspective, a strong monitoring project is not just about collecting data.

It is about confidence.

Confidence that alerts come in time.Confidence that the data is reliable and defensible. Confidence that teams know exactly what to do when thresholds are reached.

“When teams can see what is happening in real-time and act immediately, it changes how they manage risk.”

Why environmental monitoring?

I was drawn to the industry because of its direct impact.

Monitoring protects structures, supports compliance, and reduces risk for both projects and surrounding communities. It is a field where better technology leads to better real-world outcomes.

Outside of work

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, staying active, and making the most of Minnesota summers.

I grew up on a century-old farm in a small town of 1,000 people, raised three kids, and have a soft spot for animals.

Also worth noting: cake is, in my view, a perfectly valid food group.
