Are you a passionate Senior DevOps Engineer who thrives on building reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure for modern SaaS products? Do you enjoy working in a small, skilled team where you have the freedom and responsibility to make a real impact? At Omnidots, we are looking for a senior-level DevOps engineer with a generalist mindset who is comfortable working across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, observability, and deployment pipelines for our Honeycomb platform.
Who are we?
Omnidots is a market leader pioneering technologies that save our customers valuable time while drastically increasing their efficiency. We are the only provider in the industry offering a fully integrated and automated solution to directly perform and analyze vibration and noise measurements in construction. We take pride in being at the forefront of innovation, continuously pushing boundaries and setting industry standards.
We take pride in fostering a work culture that promotes collaboration and where creativity and initiative are valued!
About the role
You will join one of our tight-knit, multinational development teams working on Honeycomb, our platform for visualizing and managing data from our SWARM IoT sensors used in construction and infrastructure projects. In this senior DevOps role, you will focus on infrastructure reliability and delivery: designing, operating, and improving our AWS and Docker Swarm setup, strengthening our CircleCI pipelines, and ensuring that deployments, monitoring, and incident response all run smoothly so that new features ship safely and reliably to production.
What you'll do
- Build, maintain, and operate our AWS infrastructure for the Honeycomb platform.
- Design, maintain, and improve CircleCI pipelines to ensure safe, reliable, and fast deployments.
- Operate and improve our Docker Swarm-based deployment setup.
- Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting to keep production systems healthy and observable.
- Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and firmware developers to streamline deployment workflows and remove friction.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Contribute to release processes, including staging verification and production rollout strategies.
- Help improve security, reliability, and performance of production systems.
- Work in a hybrid remote setup with a diverse, experienced team.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and infrastructure-focused engineering roles.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally with CircleCI.
- Hands-on experience running workloads on AWS.
- Experience with Docker and preferably Docker Swarm in production.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting in production environments.
- Comfort working with Linux and scripting (for example Bash, Python) for automation.
- A self-reliant problem solver who takes ownership and thrives in a small, highly skilled team.
- Passion for well-structured, maintainable, and reliable infrastructure and tooling, who values quality over quantity.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with cloud security best practices, including VPC networking, IAM roles, and secrets management.
- Experience managing and optimizing cloud databases and understanding data persistence for IoT telemetry.
What we offer
-
- A supportive team culture where you are always just one chat away from help.
- A role with real responsibility and ownership, while knowing you have a strong team backing you up.
- A small, skilled, and passionate team where your input matters.
- A workplace based in Leek, The Netherlands.
- Competitive salary and benefits.
If you love building high-impact tests, validating complex systems end-to-end, and helping ship reliable software, we’d love to hear from you! 🚀
