A trace provides experts a way of detecting / recognizing the source of the vibration.
A trace is more detailed information about the measured vibration. A trace contains the running particle velocity filtered according to the directive at a sampling frequency of 1kSPS (1000 samples per second). A trace is made as soon as this running particle velocity exceeds the threshold value. You can select how many seconds before and how many seconds after the exceedance you want to have a trace. The maximum is a total of 8 seconds of trace storage.
