We’re looking for a Junior Hardware & Calibration Engineer who enjoys working with real devices and keeps them performing reliably. In this role, you focus on hands-on repairs, assembly, testing, and calibration of our embedded hardware products.

You’ll work on a growing range of Omnidots devices and accessories, and you’ll help ensure that each unit meets our quality and measurement standards before it is shipped or returned to service. You should be comfortable understanding electronics, following test procedures, and performing careful rework when needed.

The Role

You’ll join the hardware team and support the daily operation and quality of our embedded products. Your work is practical and detail-oriented:

  • Performing repairs and rework on returned or failed units
  • Running calibration and functional tests using test setups and procedures
  • Helping to keep production and service running smoothly by finding and fixing issues quickly
  • Help with prototyping and small production runs
  • Work closely with hardware and firmware engineers, communicating clearly when you find recurring problems or improvement opportunities

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues on embedded devices (basic troubleshooting to component level)
  • Perform soldering and rework (mostly SMT) and keep work neat and consistent
  • Assemble devices and accessories, including careful handling of sensors and sensitive parts
  • Execute calibration procedures and verification measurements using predefined setups
  • Run functional tests and document results clearly
  • Support failure analysis by checking symptoms, reproducing issues, and documenting findings
  • Maintain and improve work instructions and checklists together with the team
  • Help keep tools, calibration equipment, and the workbench organized and in good condition

What We’re Looking For

  • MBO-4 level education (or equivalent) in Electronics, Mechatronics, Telematics, or similar
  • Comfortable reading basic schematics and understanding electronics at a practical level
  • A steady hand for soldering and pride in clean, reliable work
  • Careful and structured working style (you notice small details and follow procedures)
  • Basic troubleshooting mindset: you can isolate problems and explain what you found
  • Good communication in a team setting, including clear documentation of work done

Nice-to-have

  • 1+ year of relevant work experience (repairs, production support, electronics lab, or similar)
  • Experience with test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies)
  • Experience with SMD rework tools (hot air, microscope)
  • Experience working with calibration, measurement setups, or quality control processes
  • Interest in embedded systems and sensors
